Dr. Kolansky is fellowship trained in the procedure of Mohs Micrographic Surgery for the removal of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma.
Dr. Kolansky was born in Brooklyn, New York. He received a BS degree in Pharmacy from Long Island University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from The State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Kolansky completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He continued his training with a two-year fellowship at the University of Iowa, which included Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, Laser Surgery, and Reconstruction.

Dr. Kolansky is fellowship-trained and board-certified.
